Overview
We are seeking a Remote Senior Data Engineer based in Costa Rica, supporting our team located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes to ensure high-quality, accessible data
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions
- Implementing data governance and security best practices
- Monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows for performance and reliability
- Documenting data engineering processes and maintaining technical documentation
Skills required:
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Experience with data processing frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
- Knowledge of SQL and data modeling principles
