Overview
We are seeking a Software & System Test Engineer to support engineering assignments within the Electrical & Electronics Architecture division.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and reviewing electrical and software specifications for Body/Powertrain ECUs using tools like MATLAB Simulink and MS Visio.
- Conducting troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and developing solutions for system issues in prototype or mass production vehicles.
- Performing hardware and software testing to verify ECU performance, electromagnetic compatibility, and technical changes, with accountability for test reports and verification reviews.
- Managing project and team activities by breaking down concepts, creating development plans, and coordinating with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Recognizing potential system impacts from changes and proactively communicating to prevent issues.
- Ensuring system integrity and security from cyber threats.
- Developing and maintaining documentation, problem-solving matrices, and supporting continuous process improvements.
Qualifications and skills required:
- BSEE, BSME, or equivalent experience.
- 0-2 years of related experience.
- Effective communication, relationship management, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, Word, CANalyzer.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience working with vehicles, tools, and testing environments.
Working conditions include:
- Hands-on vehicle work, lab testing, and occasional travel.
- Physical ability to lift 20 lbs, kneel, bend, sit, and maneuver inside vehicles.
- Work split between on-site (80%) and remote (20%).
