Overview
Role Overview:
An entry-level chassis design engineer responsible for creating chassis parts and systems that meet performance, quality, reliability, and cost targets. This role involves applying fundamental engineering principles, planning and coordinating with cross-functional teams, modeling in CAD software, and reviewing costs to ensure design intent is met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve performance, quality, cost, and delivery goals under guidance by critical thinking, planning, and collaboration.
- Create schedules with milestones, participate in meetings, review costs, and model parts using CATIA & MS Office.
- Share development progress proactively, complete training, and propose innovations based on technical trends and new technologies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience; co-op experience preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5/V6) and Microsoft Office.
Work Conditions:
- Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, and lifting components up to 40 lbs.
- Travel may be required (<5%) and overtime may be needed.
