Overview
Role Overview: Evaluate and summarize New Model project activities, supporting supplier part and process maturation to meet project timelines. Apply basic engineering knowledge to ensure parts and processes meet quality and demand requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess supplier processes, including FMEA, PQCT, operation standards, and MQS.
- Prepare and manage approval of part conformance before sale.
- Provide technical support during tool trials and crises.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality and tooling issues.
- Evaluate initial part conformance via dimensional analysis and testing.
- Confirm supplier planning and process cycle times support capacity needs.
- Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 0-6 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of measurement systems (GD&T, DNT), stamping, welding, CAD tools (CATIA), and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to learn new technologies.
Work Environment: Office-based with remote work, travel required (including overnight and international), and support for trial builds and production activities.
