Overview

Role Overview: This position involves structuring the tax aspects of multinational private equity real estate investments, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, dispositions, and IPOs. You will draft tax opinions, memos, and models to illustrate tax benefits, assess tax impacts of regulatory changes, and develop strategic recommendations for clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare tax structuring documents, analyze funds flow, and act as a primary contact for clients.
  • Collaborate with practice groups and global teams to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.
  • Lead engagement teams, supervise staff, and ensure risk management and quality standards.
  • For senior roles, manage engagement risks, financial performance, and identify new business opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum five years of experience in partnership, mergers, acquisitions, or federal tax planning within law or accounting firms.
  • Bachelor’s degree and relevant professional credentials (CPA, EA, JD/LLM); must obtain credentials if not already held.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements, especially in alternative investments (private equity, real estate, hedge funds).
  • Proficiency in partnership taxation, international tax law, and client relationship development.
  • Strong research, communication, and leadership skills.
