Overview
Role Overview: This position involves providing tax compliance and consulting services within the Financial Services practice, with a focus on insurance, banking, and asset management clients. You will oversee a diverse client portfolio, act as the primary contact, and build strong client relationships by delivering high-quality tax advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with complex tax issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to leverage industry knowledge and innovative solutions
- Manage engagement risks, financial performance, billing, collections, and project budgets
- Develop and maintain client relationships, providing strategic tax guidance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience, especially with insurance, banking, or asset management entities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or other approved credentials; ability to obtain required credentials within a year if not already held
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and SSAP 101, experience with corporate taxation and consolidated returns
