Overview
Role Summary: This position involves independently displaying and stocking products, processing various financial transactions accurately, and ensuring a positive guest experience. The role emphasizes compliance with safety, food safety, and company policies, while maintaining a clean, well-stocked environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards, and other payment methods following company policies.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking products in designated areas.
- Operate the cash register, promote loyalty programs, and maintain a neat service area.
- Ensure correct product identification, signage, and pricing, reporting errors as needed.
- Communicate store programs, specials, and coupons to customers, providing high-quality service.
- Follow security, cash handling, product handling, and safety policies, including PPE and sanitation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department and outside grounds.
- Assist with stocking shelves, coolers, and backroom inventory, and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior retail or related experience is beneficial.
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
