Overview
Role Overview: Leads daily department operations in a retail store, primarily in the absence of the department manager. Ensures staff training, staffing levels, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals.
- Key Responsibilities: Manage inventory ordering, control procedures, and product quality; oversee receiving, storage, and rotation; maintain product knowledge and promotional features.
- Support execution of weekly plans, manage scheduling, labor, and payroll; implement company values and ensure food safety, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Assist in staffing, training, performance management, and goal development; participate in meetings; support department growth and customer experience.
- Ensure a well-stocked, attractive department and compliance with safety, food safety, and guest service guidelines; may perform tasks in other departments as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years retail experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills required. Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and basic software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks in varied environments. Reasonable accommodations available.
