Overview
Role Overview: This position involves independently displaying and stocking products to support store operations, ensuring adherence to safety and food safety standards, and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process various financial transactions accurately, including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, and coupons.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking products throughout the store.
- Operate the cash register, promote suggestive selling, enroll guests in loyalty programs, and maintain a clean service area.
- Ensure correct product identification, pricing, signage, and communicate store programs and specials to customers.
- Follow security, cash handling, product handling, and compliance policies, including alcohol and tobacco sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the department and store grounds.
- Support stocking efforts on the sales floor, coolers, and back rooms, and follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
- Assist in other departments as needed based on customer service requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior retail or related experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
