Overview
Role Overview: The Automotive Technician / Mechanic diagnoses and repairs customer vehicles efficiently, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. They perform multi-point inspections, explain technical issues to customers and team members, and recommend necessary services to ensure vehicle safety and performance. Maintaining ASE certifications and certifications renewals is essential.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid driver’s license, at least 18 years old, high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with ASE certification or equivalent experience. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in varying temperatures. Good communication skills and attention to safety are required.
Key Duties:
- Diagnose vehicles based on certification level and experience.
- Perform repairs accurately and efficiently, documenting all services performed.
- Explain diagnoses and repair needs to customers and team members.
- Follow safety procedures, report concerns, and maintain certifications.
