Overview
Role Overview: Lead daily department operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, full staffing, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory ordering, control, and product quality; verify received orders for accuracy and condition.
- Supervise team tasks including stocking, production, and quality assurance, ensuring proper product rotation and handling damaged goods.
- Maintain product knowledge, implement sales features, and execute weekly plans and promotional activities.
- Oversee scheduling, labor, overtime, and payroll; ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards.
- Develop department goals, monitor progress, and participate in meetings at various organizational levels.
- Ensure a clean, attractive, and well-stocked environment aligned with operational standards.
- Lead staffing, training, performance evaluations, and career development of team members.
- Implement strategies to meet company objectives and key performance indicators.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; retail experience preferred, supervisory experience advantageous.
- Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership abilities in a hands-on environment, with strategic planning and business acumen.
- Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Depending on location, Spanish communication skills are highly desirable.
Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk extensively, and operate in varied store conditions. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities. Travel may be required.
