Overview
Role Overview: Lead daily departmental operations in a retail store, ensuring staff training, staffing levels, and adherence to company standards to meet performance goals.
Manage inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and loss prevention, ensuring product quality and freshness.
Oversee receiving processes, validating order accuracy and condition, and proper product storage.
Supervise a team responsible for stocking, production, and quality control, including handling spoiled or damaged items.
Maintain product knowledge and promote sales through understanding ad items and promotions.
Implement and communicate weekly plans, manage scheduling, labor, and payroll in alignment with company policies.
Support department management in staffing, training, performance reviews, and goal setting.
Ensure compliance with food safety, safety regulations, and cleanliness standards.
Participate in meetings, maintain a clean and organized department, and assist with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, with preferred retail experience. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in MS Office. Bilingual abilities in Spanish are highly desirable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
