This role involves managing and enhancing production line productivity and quality by optimizing cutting tool designs to improve manufacturing outcomes (SEQDCM).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading tool budget creation, control, and analysis
- Providing engineering support for troubleshooting tooling issues to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals
- Conducting tool analysis and reporting for continuous improvement
- Developing cutting tools, holders, and machining processes for new models and technologies
- Supporting internal tool setup, regrind processes, and line-side trial runs
- Collaborating with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure balanced processing
- Communicating technical issues and reports effectively to diverse audiences
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and managing business plan activities
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 2-8 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
- Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to interpret engineering designs and convey manufacturing concepts
Additional details: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, advanced mathematics, and engineering documentation is preferred. The role involves travel, including overseas assignments, and may require overtime. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available.
