Overview
Role Overview: The Senior Automotive Technician diagnoses and repairs customer vehicles with precision, adhering to MAP, dealership, manufacturer, and company standards. Key responsibilities include performing advanced diagnostics, heavy-duty repairs, and explaining technical issues to customers and team members. The role requires following safety protocols, documenting all work accurately, and recommending necessary services to maintain vehicle performance. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends (excluding Sundays), is essential. The technician must demonstrate excellent technical skills, troubleshooting expertise, and strong communication abilities.
Qualifications and Skills: Candidates should have automotive technician or mechanic experience, ASE certifications or equivalent, and proficiency with diagnostic tools. A valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a State Inspector License if applicable, and a high school diploma or equivalent are required. Technical school experience is preferred. The role demands physical capability to stand, bend, lift up to 70 pounds, and work in varying environmental conditions with appropriate PPE.
