Responsibilities include creating and managing 3D models, layouts, and drawings using CATIA; negotiating with internal teams and external suppliers; leading supplier development activities; supporting testing and analyzing results; and managing costs, weight, and tooling investments throughout the development process.
Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field, possess proficiency in CAD software, and demonstrate strong design fundamentals, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. The role requires independent, proactive work and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Key decisions involve evaluating design feasibility, supplier proposals, and balancing conflicting objectives.
Work primarily occurs in an office environment, with some exposure to testing labs and manufacturing settings.
