Overview
Role Overview: This position involves independently displaying and stocking products, processing various financial transactions, and ensuring a positive guest experience while adhering to safety and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, refunds, voids, and coupons accurately.
- Assist in receiving, unloading, and stocking store products.
- Operate the cash register, promote suggestive selling, enroll guests in loyalty programs, and maintain a clean service area.
- Ensure correct product identification, pricing, signage, and communicate store programs and promotions to customers.
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and compliance with policies related to security, product handling, and sale of age-restricted products.
- Support stocking and organization of sales floor, coolers, and backroom, following safety guidelines.
- Perform additional tasks in other departments as needed to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior retail experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied temperatures and environments.
