Overview
Role Overview: A Tax Senior Associate specializing in Accounting Methods and Credit Services, responsible for delivering R&D tax credit consulting, managing client communications, and supporting technical research and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client interviews and discussions to gather information and understand business needs.
- Perform tax technical research, develop industry expertise, and assist in drafting opinion letters, IRS responses, and technical memoranda.
- Coordinate multiple projects involving computations, data collection, and resource management.
- Engage directly with client personnel across operations, finance, accounting, and engineering teams.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum two years of recent tax experience in public accounting or corporate taxation.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet research.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of R&D deduction and credit sections of the Internal Revenue Code (e.g., sections 174 & 41), regulations, and relevant judicial or administrative authority.
- Ability to travel and work at client sites.
