Overview

We are seeking a research engineer to advance semiconductor sensing technologies for automotive applications, including image, radar, lidar, inertial, and environmental sensors.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting technology sensing, assessment, evaluation, benchmarking, and translating device insights into system-level value for intelligent mobility.
  • Collaborating with technical leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to support semiconductor capability growth.
  • Managing research projects using Agile methodologies, analyzing emerging technologies, and supporting strategic technical decisions.
  • Preparing sensing results and presenting findings to stakeholders to inform product development.
  • Supporting project timelines and ensuring quality deliverables while maintaining current knowledge of industry principles.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor industry concepts, chip architectures, FPGAs, SoCs, and HDL languages like Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to share technical findings effectively.
  • Experience with Agile processes and designing experiments to test hypotheses.
  • Desirable: prior research on NPUs, neuromorphic ICs, memristors, or related areas.

Workstyle: This role is onsite, with the possibility of one remote day per week with approval.
