Overview
Role Overview: Lead daily retail store operations by training staff, managing inventory, ensuring product quality and safety, and meeting company goals and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee ordering, inventory maintenance, and stock replenishment using control procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
- Validate received products for quality, condition, and accurate storage.
- Manage a team responsible for stocking, production, and product handling, including spoilage and damage control.
- Maintain product knowledge, promotional awareness, and execute sales and rewards programs.
- Implement and communicate weekly plans, manage scheduling, labor, and payroll within company standards.
- Ensure food safety and safety guidelines are consistently followed, taking corrective actions when needed.
- Develop department goals, forecasts, and participate in meetings at various levels.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department following company standards.
- Lead staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates.
- Develop, monitor, and achieve department performance metrics.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred: two years retail experience and one year supervisory experience.
- Strong communication, organization, decision-making, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of retail operations, management systems, and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strategic planning, problem-solving, and conflict management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally; comfortable standing, walking, and working in varied environments.
- Depending on location, Spanish language skills are highly desirable.
