Overview

Position Overview: Responsible for loading orders onto trailers for delivery, contributing to community feeding efforts. The role involves operating material handling equipment, inspecting trailers, verifying orders with RF devices, and securing pallets to prevent damage. It requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking on various surfaces, often handling products weighing 1-60 lbs or more, and working in cold environments (-20° to 0°).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely.
  • Inspect trailers before loading.
  • Verify orders using RF handhelds or voice headsets.
  • Load and secure pallets into trailers properly.
  • Perform equipment inspections and complete related forms.
  • Occasionally lift products from floor to overhead, handling sharp tools safely.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • At least one year of material handling equipment experience.
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
  • Team-oriented with a passion for community support.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and handle physical tasks.
